Psychotherapy in English free of charge

This offer is primarily addressed to people from outside of the Faculty of Psychology UW.

There are two free places for persons seeking psychotherapy conducted in English. The therapy will take place in the Academic Center of Psychotherapy (ul. Pasteura 7) from October 2017 to May 2018 (Tuesdays, 2 p.m. or 3 p.m.). The therapy is free of charge.

The therapy is conducted by a psychotherapist (Szymon Szumiał) with presence/assistance of students who are enrolled in the last (5th) year of studies in the ‘Psychotherapy’ specialization at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw.

Because of the confidentiality rule, all WISP students and those who know WISP students from the fifth year of the Psychotherapy specialization cannot be accepted to this therapy.

5 % zniżki na studia podyplomowe dla absolwentów UW!

Z radością informujemy, że począwszy od roku akademickiego 2018/19 obowiązuje 5% zniżki na czesne dla absolwentów Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Zniżka dedykowana jest absolwentom studiów I i II stopnia rozpoczynającym studia podyplomowe w roku akademickim 2018/2019 na Wydziale Psychologii, Wydziale Prawa i Administracji lub Wydziale Zarządzania.

Zniżka przysługuje przez cały okres realizacji studiów podyplomowych. Jest to zawsze 5% od wybranego planu ratalnego. Aby otrzymać zniżkę należy jedynie składając dokumenty okazać dyplom UW. Nie ma żadnych dodatkowych formalności. Uwaga –5% zniżkę czesnego w roku akademickim 2018/19 oferują tylko wskazane Wydziały.

7th Peripatetic Conference on Cognitive Systems Modeling: Around Information – Information Around
 
 

Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw invites you to: 7th Peripatetic Conference on Cognitive Systems Modeling: Around Information – Information Around

 

This is a Call for Abstracts for the 7th Peripatetic Conference on Cognitive Systems Modeling, which will take place on 18-21 October 2018 in the Polish Tatra mountains in a small mountain village Małe Ciche. The Peripatetic (from peripatētikós – “given to walking around”) conference, organized yearly by the University of Warsaw, brings together researchers on cognitive systems (from bacteria to societies) to discuss their newest work as well as more general problems (research, methodological, ethical) in studying and modeling cognition. 

The conference is especially suited for those cognitivists, who find it difficult to spend 10 hours in a closed room and who, like many before them, believe that the rarefied mountain air and physical exertion are beneficial for thinking and thinking together. Everyday we plan 2 stationary conference sessions about 3 hours each and a 4-5 hr peripatetic activity in the mountains. We will start on Thursday, Oct, 18th at 4pm and continue the conference programme through Saturday the 20th, reserving Sunday 21st for workshops and walks. Welcome Day – welcome meeting for all long term international students

Welcome Point is organizing a welcome meeting for all long term international students who will start their studies at University of Warsaw in academic year 2018/2019.

At the meeting students will learn the most important things about the University itself, basic rules and about possibilities that they will enjoy soon as members of the community. Moreover, all students will get a welcome pack and an invitation to more events that are planned in October. It will be also a great opportunity to meet other fellow students.

Meeting conducted in English will be held on 28 September at 10.00 am and the meeting conducted in Polish will be held on the very same day at 12.30, both in Auditorium Maximum (Adam Mickiewicz hall) at the Main Campus. Each meeting will last approximately two hours.

Grupy dedykowane dla studentów Psychologii

Nowy system obsługi płatności studenckich w USOS na UW

Szanowni Studenci, już 19 września br. wdrażamy na UW nowy lepszy moduł obsługi płatności studenckich w USOS (USP-FK). Jest to konieczne z trzech powodów. Po pierwsze chcielibyśmy umożliwić bardziej przejrzysty sposób rozliczania Studentów. Po drugie dotychczasowe rozwiązanie nie jest już rozwijane i nie można do niego wprowadzić nowych funkcji i ulepszeń. Ostatnim powodem jest wdrożenie w wybranych Jednostkach rozliczeń Studentów cudzoziemców bezpośrednio w euro (dla tych, którzy mają podpisane z UW umowy na opłaty w tej walucie). Staramy się, żeby dla Studentów zmiana ta była jak najmniej zauważalna. Tak jak dotychczas wszelkie informacje dotyczące indywidualnych rozliczeń znajdą się w USOSweb w tym samym miejscu – zmieni się jedynie nazwa modułu na „Płatności FK”. Zawarte tam informacje będą miały zbliżoną formę, ale …

  • od 19 WRZEŚNIA 2018r. zmienią się WSZYSTKIE indywidualne numery rachunków bankowych, na które Studenci regulują zobowiązanie wobec UW, dotychczasowe numery nie będą już aktywne. Od 19 września przelewy (opłaty) wysłane na dotychczasowe (stare) numery będą zwracane do nadawców. Proszę dokonać odpowiednich zmian w przypadku zlecania opłat ze swoich systemów bankowych.
  • Nowe aktualne numery będą widoczne dla Państwa w systemie USOSweb
    od dnia 19 września po godzinie 18:00.
  • W dniach 18-19 września proponujemy wstrzymać się z dokonywaniem opłat wobec UW.
  • System USOSweb oraz inne serwisy powiązane (APD, Rejestracje żetonowe) nie będą dostępne dla Studentów w dniu 19 września 2018 w godzinach 12:00-18:00.

Wierzymy, że prace nad wdrożeniem, które trwają już prawie dwa lata, będą miały efekt w postaci jeszcze lepszej obsługi płatności studenckich na UW.
